I ...Apologies for the slow reply (work/life thing)

I totally get the "find the base case" and build everything relative to that. It's great, your system works that perfectly.

Although you say that mods only take a few adjustments, your supplements would have a great deal more to offer. I would point out that one of the great things about the published rules is your exhaustive description of the setting. That is hard to replicate, and not many rulesets I have seen provide that kind of context to their players.

In short, I can't wait to see what you have coming next.

Thanks,
Will
Maj. Stuff."

That's what I do. The rules are scalable. You can play with ten models or a hundred. My mods were more closely tied the minutia of Rogue Trader (I use the stats for weapons almost as is), but the beauty of the engine is that you can make things as abstract or as complicated as you like. There are plans to publish supplements for different periods, but for the most part it really only involves making army lists, special characters, and a couple of tweaks and most people seem to be able to mold it however they like.

I've seen WW2 games, all kinds of pre-vehicle eras, sword & sorcery... one person even turned them into mass combat simply by replacing single models with stands (he used two stands for Elite units, four stands for Trained, and six stands for Recruits). The rest of the rules pretty much stayed the same.

The most important part is the game feels like what you think it should on the table. That's why the rule book is full of side bars - "If you think this is rubbish, try it this way!"

It is gratifying to see so many people using the rules for their own periods (and the pike and shot period).quindiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14194306105013871853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227614887767089678.post-77419413537935089522017-01-25T12:40:43.474-06:002017-01-25T12:40:43.474-06:00Outstanding rules conversion here, great job, can&...Outstanding rules conversion here, great job, can't wait to see a batrap AAR on these.Don Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07230631364253238804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227614887767089678.post-58141803949903058942017-01-25T12:20:05.334-06:002017-01-25T12:20:05.334-06:00Cracking stuff. Clarence has some great oldhammer figures on his blog if you haven't checked it out already.
