I have long thought that artifacts such as vehicles, guns, and buildings look better under-scale anyway. I've long since switched (pretty much) to 1:144 scale aircraft for my 1:72/76 scale WW2 armies (and I would have preferred 1:87 for vehicles and guns, too, but their availability in this country was problematical).

My 20mm plastic American Civil War armies are supported by riverine flotillas that are 1:300 scale. I've had combined operations on the same table top and it did not look incongruous.

Although for my 'Jono's World' project (whose figures are about 45mm tall) I've gone in for larger scale buildings, I've still kept their sizes fairly limited. My shoe-box factory is meant to represent a fairly large complex, especially when I build some small outlying sheds and what not. The vehicles are slightly underscale, and the aircraft about 1:72 in scale.

Looking at the buildings you have pictured, I reckon the lookout tower thing would be fine as is. Although it does have a large 'footprint', you can still place figures within that table-space on account of the fairly commodious fighting platforms and the tower itself. The only caveat would be if it looked out of scale compared with your other buildings.

Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227614887767089678.post-29700026115183667992013-08-07T22:44:25.022-05:002013-08-07T22:44:25.022-05:00What I do (gaming all modern and sci-fi in 15mm)

Not unlike Battlefront, although I've been doing this
since the late 90s. I never could get my head around hexs, in fact I converted a number of games from that to non-hex. I do try to standardize buildings etc to fit my boards.Don Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07230631364253238804noreply@blogger.com
