On the Hunt, Episode VII: Planetfall!

Scanners on the Alliance Troopships show that the Nazi presence on Haussen is concentrated in two underground complexes near the equator.  The plan is to land an assault force on LZ Seneca and advance up the road network to gain access to the complexes.  A second landing LZ Delaware, will contain more mobile forces that will move to surround the Nazi complexes and prevent escape.
The Battle
Unfortunately, LZ Seneca was too far forward and was in range of an undetected Nazi AA battery and defense line. The Gis transport was shot down on the eastern edge.  The Alliance troops were engaged before they even debarked and the assault began as a confused mess.

The Gis were mauled by direct fire from the Heavy AA emplacement as they struggle to get clear of the wreck of their transport.

But as bad a the disaster is with the Gis, it is just as bad on the south edge. After blasting the invaders, the Reich's Assassin counter-attacks

 But it's not enough, and after taking massive casualties Lt. Philo leads the survivors to safety.

The 1st Gis Volunteers and 3rd Sqn of the 23rd Cav are trashed.
LZ Seneca is contested and cannot land any more ships.  Reinforcements and supplies have to be brought in from the reserve LZ Monterrey.

And worse, Nazi starships have been detected inbound...

The operation hangs in the balance.

On the Hunt VI: Channel of Ghosts

In the briefing room of the KCS St. Marie, Adm. Jonah Stanislaw outlines the plan to attack the planet Haussen.  Even with the loss of Imperial assistance, the attack will proceed. The margin of superiority over the enemy is gone, but this is the first time, after decades of conflict, a Nazi base has been found. The alliance must strike.

So a new plan is in place:
Because the Alliance will only be able to maintain temporary superiority in the sky, the invasion fleet will use the channels through the asteroid belt to descend on Haussen.  The transports will quickly unload and then withdraw to hide in the belt. It is possible the Reich's forces will attempt their own landings to reinforce the enclave on the planet.
(Any resemblance to the Guadacanal campaign is entirely in your imagination. :) )

The Battle of Savo Terminus
We pick up the action during the approach of the Alliance invasion fleet. The Troop Transports have transited the belt safely.  The first sign of Nazi resistance is a Cruiser based Task Force that jumps in at the Savo Terminus.  This is the entry point of a "slot" through the belt, and if the Nazi's can force the passage, they will be among the fragile Alliance Troop Ships.  Opposing them is a multi-national blocking force of ships with mixed tech, quality, and capability.

Opening Positions
The Alliance Destroyers and Fighters burn hard to catch the back end of the Reich formation while the cruisers rotate back to concentrate their strength.  The Reich units Gregor, Wagner, and 318th screen the gunline from the impending Alliance attack run.

With fire support from the Reichs heavies, the Alliance lights are broken up far from the gunline. The Gregor is destroyed in exchange for the loss of 2 Alliance DD's.
The heavies come into range next, just on the other side of Savo Asteroid.

The LuftKrieg is overmatched by a cruiser, and the throw weight takes its toll....
The Alliance holds Savo Passage, but at the loss of 2 DD's destroyed, 2 CA's heavily damaged, and less than half of the Fighters deployed were recovered.  The Nazi's lost both CL's and 2 CA's, but jumped out of the battle after recovering their fighters.

Cannoness Quintilla ponderously enters the room with her entourage...
C Quintilla:"This abomination is over.  The Emperor's forces will NOT fight alongside unbelievers!"
Her attendants draw weapons...
C Quintilla: "The delegations will be allowed to leave only if they do not speak another word, otherwise you will be shot where you stand. Consider this mercy a sign of our kindness and benevolence."
The room  is on a hair trigger, but slowly the non-Imperials take their leave.
As Maj. Gusicard and the Timtai delegate enter the shuttle bay at gunpoint, Sgt Mannesman cannot help himself, with a dry chuckle...
Sgt Mannesman: "So Sir, how'd it go?"

Back in the conference room...
Sub-Ambassador Tigh: "Well, that was ill-advised."
Cannoness Quintilla: "Do not trifle with me, Sub-Ambassador. I contemplated having you arrested for heretical practices."
SA  Tigh: "So, you would let the sector burn rather than ..."
C. Quintilla: "YES! I would let it all burn if Imperial precedence is not accepted as absolute.  These men are my children under the church, and they are above all others."
SA Tigh: "This puts victory over the 'Reich' in jepoardy."
C. Quintilla: "Let them lose.  Until they understand and accept our primacy, we will not participate."

On the Hunt IV: The War Conference

From our last Episode (LINK), the location of a Reichs' enclave has finally been discovered.  These descendents of earth bound Nazi's have been a menace to all of Sector Six since their arrival and this is the first chance in decades for the rest of the sector to strike back. The Kingdom of Colores has called a conference in deep space to solicit for Allies in an assault on the "Haussen Arcologie".

The Vernians arrive first, joined shortly after by the last mobile Imperial Strike Force in the Sector.  It contains the only 2 operational battleships and Imperial assistance will be crucial for success.
Next to make formation are representatives from the trading League of Timtai and the Kingdom of Colores.
 Major Guiscard is quickly transferred by shuttle to the Imperial Battleship "Retribution" for the conference.
 "Welcome aboard, Major. Sub-Ambassador Tigh is eager to review the information you have brought."
Sub-Amb Tigh "The Gis representatives have yet to arrive, but I don't think their fleet contributions will be a factor, so we should get started"
Maj. Guiscard "I agree, as the intial space operation will not involve them.  The location of the secret Nazi base...."

Deacon Adept: "STOP!
By her Holy Authority of the Ophelian Imperial Pantheon of the Twelve Supreme Gods, Her Most Serene Conduit of Divine Intention and Purpose, Cannoness Pomponia Secundia Quintilla demands your silence.  Bow down before the mouthpiece of the divine, she is the chosen vessel of the Supreme Gods, hear her words and obey."

On the Hunt III: The Fight for Mining Asteroid 318

Immediately following the last mission, link, Specialist Fales hacked the Sachines security net to find out the condition and location of Dr. Xaden.  Her wounds were not as severe as feared, but while being transferred from the Hospital to a secure holding facility, she vanished along with her escort.  The Sachines Security Service was pursuing the theory that the transferring agents were impostors and abducted the Doctor.  She might already be off-planet...

Cross-referenced with information gained from the interrogation of Reichs Col. Paulus, our protagonists, the 8th Special Actions Team, known as "8 Ball", located a small mining asteroid that is actually a way-station for the 4th Reich. Dr. Xaden was there!

The mission for 8 Ball is to capture the station and rescue their team member, Dr. Xaden.  The Reich's garrison will do anything to stop them, including blowing up the whole place with everyone on it. There are 5 objectives, shown in the picture below.  The main objective is obviously the Reactor, since controlling it controls whether or not the whole place goes boom.
The Reichs garrison is 14 fanatical troopers, led by Captain Jurgen. They are equipped with armored hostile environment suits and high energy weapons.
8 Ball has the assistance of Dr. Ourii who has come out from New Cypress to stand in for Dr. Xaden. Also, joining the team for this mission, is mercenary Titus Philo.  He is equipped with his own hardsuit and advanced weaponry.  He has not worked with the team before, but is known by Maj Guiscard through some off the books missions.
8 Ball could make insertion, but could not completely conceal their approach, so the Reichs troops were ready and alert. 8 Ball split into three teams and began shooting right out of the assault boat doors.

 Maj Guiscard made it to Dr. Xaden's cell and brawled the guard into the ground.  They quickly found her skinsuit and started to make their way to the reactor.

Dr. Ourii made it to the reactor first, but he was not up to the rigors of fighting off several guards and goes down.  The Reichs troops start the self-destruct countdown.
As the clock winds down, every person on the asteroid tries to pile into the maintenance walkway surrounding the reactor.  Shots, knives and fists are a whirlwind in the confined space.

 and at the very last second, Titus Philo and Dr. Xaden stop the countdown!
Mining Asteroid 318 is in the hands of 8 Ball.  Casualties were heavy, with both Dr Ourii and Sgt Mannesman wounded.  Follow on support units from the Kingdom of Colores arrive and begin to process a trove of intelligence.  This is the break 8 Ball has been working for, they have a name and a location of one of the Reichs' hidden enclaves:

These Pulp Alley games keep getting more and more exciting.  I have never been a fan of scenarios that seem to be designed in such a way that everyone dogpiles in the middle, so that wasn't the way this game started.  But around the end of turn 1, my opponent and I sort of talked ourselves into the logic that the reactor was really the only thing that mattered (total destruction can focus the mind :) ). The excitement was aided by the fact that my guys were spread all over the asteroid, I hadn't deployed with just one objective in mind, so the rush to the middle was really suspenseful.  Also, lots of credit needs to be given to the game system.  Pulp Alley isn't a wargame (I'm a wargamer, so I have to keep reminding myself of that. Some people would also say I have to remind myself not to move my lips when I read.) It's an ADVENTURE game. The options, cards, initiative all interplay so well that even though the game ended in an area the size of a closet, it was a nailbiter all the way.  It looked like it was all over on turn 6, but then my guys captured a minor plot point and got the reward to drive the game into turn seven. Then, in turn 7, Dr. Xaden dodged and heath checked away from 6 shots as the bad guys tried to stop her from getting to the control panel AND THEN SHE DIDN'T COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE! With 1 more success needed from Cunning or Finesse, Titus was within move distance to try but as a shooter, he only had 1d6 in the right categories for the attempt.  Everything came down to a 50/50 die roll.
Luckily, I don't have to find a new cast...

On the Hunt, Part II: Sachines Landing Field

In the last chapter, link, the Kingdom of Colores' most elite special operations team, "8 Ball Command" was making a sweep of an abandoned Imperial maintenance facility when they were attacked by a team of Reich's operatives.  The Nazi's made off with a jump core and some moderately valuable technical data. But 8 Ball managed to capture Cpl. Hesse. He gave up the coordinates of the Reich's hidden shuttle and compromised their original plan to get off planet. The fallback option is to go undercover and ex-filtrate with commercial traffic at Sachine’s Landing Field.

8 Ball Command is to deploy and intercept the Agents.

The Agents of the Reich will not be a faction, but the objectives for this scenario.  The opposition to 8 Ball is a team of Gis Freedom Fighters.  The Gis are an artificially created race originally designed for combat and harsh environments. They are always interested in encounters with creatures that are genetically modified.  A Reich’s Assassin would be a huge catch. 
As a pre-scenario event, the Gis have bribed the foreman of the cargo area. It will be empty of people, and weapons may be used as normal.  Conversely, in the passenger terminal, if any firearms are used or any challenge to capture Col. Paulus fails, alarms will sound and 1-3 Security Teams (Gangs) will exit the Terminal through the main doors each turn. The Security Teams will move toward and open fire on the closest Agent when activated.  They are treated as a 3rd league, but can never gain the initiative.

By the Passenger Terminal, Maj Guiscard and Dr. Xaden spot the disguised Col. Paulus at the ticket desk.  They cautiously move in.
In the Cargo Area, the other members of 8 Ball discover they are not alone. Three members of the Gis Freedom Front and a hired driver are busily moving a truck into position to steal the Reich's Assassin cryo-sleep casket.
Whatever the Gis may have originally planned, the presence of 8 Ball provokes a furious fire fight.

 Back at the Passenger Terminal, Dr. Xaden makes her move...

 ...and botches it! Maj Guiscard quickly moves in and takes the agent into custody, but the whole place erupts in alarm.
Dr. Xaden tells Guiscard to make a break for it and she will try to slow the security troops down. She gets a couple with gas grenades, but there is no way it will be enough...
 Back in the Freight Yard the fight is in full fury...
Dr. Xaden goes down, but the Major makes good his escape into the maze of the Sachines settlement.
Followed closely by the Gis in the stolen truck.

This was a very fun game.  The idea was to keep a section of the scenario as a "social" environment, but well the best laid plans, and on turn 2 that went south in a hurry.  In the end, 8 Ball had Col Paulus, but Dr. Xaden was in the hands of the Sachines authorities and her condition was unknown. 
Both sides came out with the Plot Point most important to them.  The Gis had the Reich's Assassin and 8 Ball captured Col Paulus and the jump core. 8 Ball came out just 1 Plot Point ahead of the Gis.
There are 2 follow up storylines from these mission:
1. Top Prioirty for the Team is to recover Dr. Xaden
2. Col. Paulus is high enough up the command chain to know the location of the hidden Nazi enclaves.  If he can be compelled to reveal a location, 8 Ball will have the mission of reconnaissance to plan the attack.
